Youth & Justice Forum
Bridging the Gap Since 2010
Empowering minority youth through constructive dialogue with legal and law enforcement professionals
Our Mission
The Uplift Foundation of Nevada Youth & Justice Forum is an annual initiative, launched in 2010, that brings together youth ages 10–18—primarily from minority communities—with African American police officers, attorneys, and community leaders for constructive, solutions-oriented dialogue.
In partnership with local law enforcement agencies and the local chapter of the National Bar Association, the Forum creates a safe and respectful space where young people learn about their rights and responsibilities under the law, while legal and law enforcement professionals gain valuable insight into the experiences and perspectives that shape youth views of the juvenile and criminal justice systems.
This meaningful exchange fosters trust, strengthens relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve, and advances Uplift’s broader mission of empowering young people to realize their full potential.
